Since Blogger has now implemented automatic comment spam detection, and since that algorithm seems to finally stop the onslaught of the Chinese spammers (nothing I ever did worked), I am disabling comment registration. Anonymous lurkers, feel free to comment and contribute to the discussion!
If spam increases markedly, I will turn it back on, but I don't see that as a problem.
